Viewed as an ensemble, Johannes Guerreiro’s work resembles a vibrant urban landscape. Spacious and immersive like an urban stage. Surfaces covered with spray paint at the intersection of gallery and street underpass. Johannes’ art moves between graffiti, media art and pop culture. His work for the Bar Trinkgenossin was created outdoors through dynamic layering of flat colors and rhythmic graphic patterns. Now it makes its way indoors into the public, pulsing casually like a conversation among friends. A temporary but lively collective of individual fragments.

Outdoor Interventions

Wandering through the area of urban or rural places that speak of abandonment, I admire the calm and the supposed standstill. Some want to leave the decay untouched as a miracle of nature, I, on the other hand, want to revisit the broken dialogue between man and the environment.
